Hot Summer air, heavy and scented,
Heavenly and sweet, filled with birdsong and desire,
A single blow, a single wish,
As you fill your lungs with lavender and roses,
Youthful exhalation as you send,
the pirouetting dancers flying,
Clouds of dandelion feathers float in clouds of white fire,
And a child's laughter, innocent and sublime,
echoes the Summer perfection,
in all it's simple loveliness,
What would you wish this summer?
A dandelion held tight in one hand,
What would you picture as you draw in that breath?
And send the seeds all flying around,
Mine is a picture of forever,
With the darling one I love,
My sweet beloved angel, sent to me from above,
What is it you dream of, infinity in your grasp,
What is it you see, when you hear that child's laugh?
