The Difference

by Bill Turner   Jul 17, 2006

The devil will not take me alive
When he comes for my soul I will be gone
I cannot cheat death though I have tried
The best I can hope to do is be elsewhere
Dying as I have lived, without a care

Standing for all that I believe is right
Defending those who cannot defend themselves
Living life as if there is no tomorrow
Holding back only leads to regrets
I have no pile of soulful debts

Time will tell if tomorrow will ever come
I refuse to stand by and see
Living life on the sidelines
Afraid to come out and play
I have found a better way

It takes no courage to live this way
In fact, it takes guts to live like most do
Betting their soul on the future with regrets past
On your deathbed what will you feel?
Think of the regrets and make a new deal

Touch the lives of those around you
Live your life with a freedom never before found
Tell family and friends about your love for them
Make a difference in the lives of others
After all, are we not all brothers?
