Sins upon my flesh

by Tainted Beauty   Jul 17, 2006

Lift up my shirt,
Expose the sins upon my flesh,
I will take this blade,
And destroy what is left,

I feel the sting,
From the bladed kiss,
I hate myself,
For doing this,

The razor edge,
Traces the lines upon my abdomen,
I smile when I see,
The crimson blood running on my skin,

I am another failure,
Why do I resort to this?
I am a hypocrite, a liar,
Trying to hide my sins,

I hurt myself tonight,
I sliced and tore my veins,
I am weak, I am disgusted,
But I am the only one to blame.

Wow, another sad poem. It's a vicious cycle when you start cutting. You cut because you hate yourself, and you hate yourself because you cut. There is no end to it, until the day something goes wrong. Stop. Please stop. Before it gets worst. I wish you all the best, and I hope things get better. It's hard, but try.

Very powerful! You are very talented! I loved the poem. It was very sad, indeed, but very well-written! It was original. You have a wonderful talent! Keep writing! Overall rating: 5/5. My favorite stanza was:

    "I am another failure,
Why do I resort to this?
    I am a hypocrite, a liar,
    Trying to hide my sins,"
