Miscarraige

I wrote this for my girlfriend after we found out she was having the miscarriage*****************************

Why was it taken from us?
Our baby that could have been
I wasn't prepared for this
An accident it may have been
I mean that we didn't plan for it
We did take precautions and care
But it ended with a miscarriage
A hurt that forever we share
"A lucky escape" some will say
"I'm sorry" by others that hear
Thinking to myself as down i lay
I'll keep hurting unless you are near
And why did it have to happen like this?
Why was it God was so cruel?
But for a reason it was taken from us
And closer it's brought me to you

    The last two lines were the ones that really pop out at you--you and doug have ways with words! this was beautifully written and the emotion behind it was overwhelming.
    and, as always, you're endings are strong and powerful!
