Swordsman

by Momentary Relapse   Jul 18, 2006

The brilliant shine is precisely held
Hissing air escapes parched lips
A dry hollowness settles inside
Determination through his facade slips

Flash a smile hard as steel
With a mocking bow and dark salute
He comes a darkened wraith of power
Movements so smooth yet so mute

He turns sliding through the shadows
A deadly viper with majestic grace
So skillful with the killing
Delicately clad in black and lace

He smiles in anticipation
Knowing that this is an easy kill
The shadows draping his fluid form
Hiding his fatal iron will

The night passes as the moon watches
Her lonely eyes the only witness
Hardened warrior searching for his pay
Honing skills of his finesse

The silken laugh of a razor's edge
Severing the head of another soul
Unobtrusive he has fled
Once again no one will ever know

Great visual. Add to it- just throw in back ground [like sunlight reflecting off a blade of ruby], although this isn't needed.
