Adkov

Fill me with something foreign
that numbs all of my veins
Freezes that artery
where the misery reigns

Each and every day
My arms reaches for that drink
Its a mechanical process
So I dont have to think

Eyes bloodshot and blurred
A force I cant control
Its more of a drug
than it is alcohol

Ive perscribed myself
and diagnosed my own pain
Ill drink straight from the bottle
So numb, ill remain

Like you'd wear a sweater
I wear vodka as a coat
I feel naked throughout the day
until booze flows down my throat.

Spare me this agony
that I can never erase
I know I cant be like this forever
But I just need one more taste

I know you may look down on me
Your disappointed and surprised
but baby if you could understand
Its where the answers are disguised
