I never thought that my heart could be in two places at once
until it landed itself on the rollercoaster of emotions for you
with twists and turns my heart travels to you
along the pages; between the dotted lines
like a book you take me places i've never been
this matchbook romance has made me realize that
you bring color to my life, bring feelings ive nevr felt
written among these pages our memories are embroidered
like all of those nights getting lost in your eyes
laying on our backs naming off the stars
and swearing to the angels that they would always be ours
and i will never forget the day that you entwined your fingers in mine
and told me that's where they would always belong
and you looked me in the eyes with the moon shining down
and lightly brushed your lips amongst mine
i will forever replay that moment in my mind
still feeling my fast beating heart fluttering throughout my chest
and the chills i got when you leaned close to me
and whispered lightly in my ear:
"I love you babe and i always will."
and i got the biggest smile that proved my love
the smile that still appears to this day when i see your name on the caller id
and the sound of your voice that takes me back to where we used to go
and i want you to know that in my eyes you are the most beautiful girl i have ever seen
and even when you come to me with your hair a mess
in your sweat pants and your make-up streaming down your face
nothing will ever look as good as you do at that moment
and no matter the fights; the petty little arguments
like over who loves who more
i know that there will always be a place in my heart for you
and i will always get chills, aches and butterflies
along with smiles, laughs and tears
cause baby, that is what your love does
