Love is an Illusion

by Andrew Dorsey   Jul 18, 2006

He loved her with all his heart
she was beautiful, witty, and very smart
he loved her, but she didnt love him
he loved every part of her, every limb
without her, he was nothing, he couldnt get by
just seeing her made him think he could fly
life itself wasnt even as beautiful as she
when he was with her, his spirit was free
he loved being with her, the things they did
if she loved him back, those feelings she hid
so he finally said those words "I love you"
she replied "thanks, but I love another much more"
he didnt know what to do and right through he was sore
after this, it was all clear, and he began to grin
love is an illusion, he realized, a fight nobody can win
