Highway Walker

by Vic   Jul 19, 2006

Highway walker
Eyes glued down
Face unmoving
A stagnant frown

Life speeds forward
Yet at a dead end
Lonely walker
No warmth of a friend

Step after step
Moving on yet not
Fast-forward pace
Though state is at stop

He's lost to the world
And he's lost his own
Walking, chasing forth
Heavy figure of stone

Weary feet carry on
Unknown destination
Speeding environment
Stuck moving slow-motion

Control is broken
All senses fail
Stay on the track
Of an invisible trail

Lonesome walker
whose lost his way
To him all is lost
In a dead-end Highway...
