Locked Up

by Gabi   Jul 19, 2006

Emotions hidden behind a smile
People ask are you okay
Yes is all I can manage to say
Being funny or sometimes abnoxious is all they ever see
I'll never reveal the real me
I'm locked up inside
Wishing I could tell you how I really feel
Who do I turn too?
Family??? Not an option
They say I'm too sensitive or a really big b.i.t.c.h.
My friends wouldn't understand
They butt in and act like they care
They say they can keep a secret
But it's all just a lie
I'm locked up wishing I could die
I'm fooling all of you
Pretending to be something that I'm not
Giving life all I've got
But it's pointless and not worth it
I wish I could SCREAM to the world who I really am
But that will never happen because...
I'm locked up inside

Good poem, hun---In some places the flow is a little off, but the emotion you put into it is great! Try breaking the poem up into stanzas and that may help with the flow thing a bit- Keep it up and stay strong---
