Ballet Blues

by Elise   Jul 19, 2006

I slip my foot into the satin shoe
My face flushed
I really donâ??t know what to do
Stormy nights and summer days remind me of where I used to lay
In the spotlight I used to stand
Nervously waiting he took my hand
Lifted me high into the wings
I could almost touch the lights
Bringing me down gently
I feel the air blow in my face
Showing me that I really do have grace
He takes a bow and leaves the stage
Just for me to take my place
I show love for what I do
Then I leap to silence as the curtain drew
Took my cucurtsys roses flew
Now Iâ??m done and feeling blue.
