Mysteries of broken silence
Nightmares scream like never before
Silly hopes and dreams of violence
Waking to a slamming door
Someone's entered, someone's in here
But you know not who they are
You heart starts pounding, full of fear
You know they are not very far
You're breathings fastened, weakened, shallow
But still you try to hid your face
Your mind and body, almost hollow
You try to stop but your heart will race
Into your closet, behind the clothes
They may not find you here this time
They seem to think something you owe
But you'd rather come out of this just fine
They check your room then head for the door
You sigh a bit, sigh of relief
They stop and turn around once more
Because they plan to cause you grief
They know you're in the closet now
Your heart starts beating hard again
They grab you, wrapping you in a towel
So against them you can't defend
You fall unconscious as they do
For your head has hit the floor
You're old friend finds you three days not to soon
You are dead, straight to the core
