Spread my wings

by Bethan   Jul 20, 2006

I Want to break away,
from everything that's right,
Spread my broken wings,
unbind them and take flight,

Fly away from the hurt and pain,
The day-to day struggles of life,
Leave behind all the stresses,
The constant battles and the strife,

Disappear into the sunset,
Become a dot on the horizon,
Find a place where I can grow,
where my spirit and soul can wisen,

I wish to just soar,
Where no-one else can see,
before I become trapped,
And unable to break free.

I'm sorry i never read you're poem before, but truth be told, i haven't been in a reading mood lately. i'm sorry, but if it makes you feel better the poem was really good. my favorites stanza was the third one, and i also love the ryhme it it aswell 'horizon' and 'wisen', rather cleverly done...well, i think so.
    love you loads
