Brave Is Knowing

by Mezmeryz   Jul 20, 2006

Brave is knowing tomorrow isn't a bright and happy place
It's knowing it's another day of pain to embrace
And yet, still wanting to live.
Well there's not more she could give

In the deep dull darkness
She's so lost and lonely
The day seems heartless
Nights show no mercy

Gripped by the evil of life it seems,
Yet she's still holding on,
Through betrayal and hurt a tear gleams,
Not a shoulder to cry upon.

When looking through the eyes of her past
There's nothing to gaze upon
No moment has so beautifully past
That she could reminisce on

She's relives it all as a nightmare
All her deepest darkest fears
Because there's no-one out there; who seems to care,
No-one to wipe away her tears

She's lived the pain and misery
And she knows there may be yet more
But what keeps her going is her bravery
Her willingness to soar

To fly along the mountains of
Success and attainment
Keeping her pride right above
The rest with containment

Because she knows she'll have to make a stand
For herself; to live her days
Her life in front is hers to plan
Not a pain and misery phase

It's just what no-one sees
It's a minor phase, won't kill you
All that suffering will ease
You just have to give it time to

Brave is knowing tomorrow isn't a bright and happy place
It's knowing it's another day of pain to embrace
And yet, still wanting to live.
Well there's not more you could give
