A couple of memories,
I think about every day,
They leave me with tears of happiness.
I think about those sunny afternoons,
Me and my family has spent outside.
I think about the seat in front of my uncle's house,
That we sat on all the time.
Even about how we used to wait,
For the ice cream truck to pass by.
I think about the games,
I played all the time.
Now I think and wonder,
About why those days are so rare now.
I think about how,
The summer evenings aren't as bountiful anymore.
They are there,
Every Saturday,
For me to spend and cherish,
To remember all the way.
But, God, I can't help wishing,
I spent days like that everyday.
With my family outside,
And the sun up high.
I wish we all weren't so busy,
I wish we had the time.
But even though we are busy,
Even though we are a phone call away,
We love each other a lot,
And those sunny evenings,
Are in our hearts always.
