One Hell Of A Guy

by ishrah   Jul 21, 2006

I look out in the crowd,
And this one man pops out.
He\'s holding a walker,
And has a young smile on his face.
He\'s walking slowly,
Trying to push through the way,
Of a world that can be called fast.

On his face, you see experience,
Experience a 35 year old should never even think about seeing.
In his eyes you see honesty,
Honesty that has brains, but a bigger heart.

When he walks,
I see hard work and effort.
The effort it takes him to walk each step,
It makes me think about how leisurely we can walk around.

I see this man and i think,
About how I look upto him,
And about how he used to be.

I think about how he used to run miles and miles,
Without even feeling tired.

I think and I feel like crying,
Because I seriously love this man.

He\'s my uncle,
Some might pity him,
Others might respect him,
I just look upto him.
I look upto him for what he has overcome.

I remember that night when we heard about \"the accident,\"
I remember it all clearly.

I remember daddy telling me,
That my uncle would never stand again,
Nevertheless walk.

I remember falling into tears,
And I remember crying all night.

I even remember seeing him,
For the first time after \"the accident,\"
When he was wrapped up in bandages.

I remember seeing him smile then.
I remember thinking, \"How can he smile?\"
But now I think and go,
\"He smiled cause he is one hell of a guy.\"
