Wow, Nathaniel! This poem just blew me away!! Everything was excellent in my opinion.. your flow, your imagery, everything. I'm amazed.

You see, I chose this life.
And I have no regret.
My life for your freedom,
I will never forget.

^^ I love that stanza! And I want to thank you and everyone else in the service for fighting for America's freedom. Thank you for allowing me to live in a free country where I have so many choices and opportunities. America is a great place and it's brave men and women like you who have made it that way.

I love the message, and the bravery you show here in this piece. I can picture everything you said! This was a fantastic poem.. definitely one of my all time favorites. I wish I could give you higher than a five, because this piece deserves so much more.

A very touching write indeed and something that I'm sure many people can relate to. I admire how you dedicated it to those who fight along side of you, rather than your family.
I thought the rhyme was faultless and for a simple poem with a "real" message this worked well.
The first line almost stopped me reading (I'm glad I continued to read) because of the cliche of being "alone," maybe you could think of a different way to portray being alone...

The theme in this poem was definitely well thought out ;; though at times the flow seemed a bit forced, the rhyming was perfect. You did an excellent job, keep it up.
