Ready To Fall

by RetroRavey   Jul 21, 2006

I'm ready to fall,
Standing on this high ledge,
Not knowing what's real anymore.
I've been lying and pretending for so long,
That I'm not sure
If I'm who I say I am.
I so desperately want to be real,
And loved for who I am...
Despite my flaws.
Looking down from my place,
Ready for anything, even the jump,
But thinking I know better.
One more moment of though,
Knowing that death is real...
I close my eyes and fall.

I can feel the trapped sensation of the narrative by the stifled opening, but the end is more open and freeing.
