Both sides

by Heather   Jul 22, 2006

He knew she was right
But his pride was to strong
He watched her walk away
He watched her leave without saying a word

He sits at his desk and stares at the blank screen
you can still see tears apon his cheeks
but he doesn't surrender
and he refuses to beg

they pass each other on ther street
and he bows his head
and he cries all the tears he's been unable to shed

**************************

She walks away one more time
no turning back no one more time
as she packs her bags she fights back tears

she stare at his photo on her wall
and picks up the phone to call
as it rings she lets it drop
she refuses to crawl back to that life

they pass each other on the street
she walks on by without missing a beat
she's over him
and that's the truth
no one more time
no making a truce
