My Puppy

by Tasha Caskey   Jul 22, 2006

I brought her home and thought no more,
my puppy Cocoa enters my door.
Go Cocoa, be happy and free,
you will be safe here with me.
I will raise and train you to be good,
I will do everything that my dad would.
You were my dads life, that is why you mean so much,
I will be here and warm you with my touch.
I will watch you grow and protect you as well,
My dad is depending on me not to fail.
I will need your protection more than you will mine,
but I promise that everything is going to be fine.
I do not know what I would do if I lost you,
I have lost my dad and you have made my life so true.
I love my puppy Cocoa with all my heart,
and nothing in this world can take us apart.
