My Time, My Way

So many things never turn out for the better,
It always turns bad, when it's the last thing I need.
Love has caused me so much pain,
Love is meant to make you feel on top of the world.
My love turned to ash when everything fell apart.
I lost trust and faith. I lost the love of my life.
He betrayed me, and I was left heart broken.
All alone, left there to pick myself up again.
I have never been the same since then,
Why must it be me? Do I deserve all this?
I am so unsure of life. I ask myself "Is it worth it?"
Some days its not and I just want to fade away.
Fade away into nothing and leave this world.
It feels like I am being forced to stay here in misery,
No-one will let me leave this confusing world.
Why don't they understand that this world is tearing me apart?
I'm mistaken for the happy girl always smiling.
Why can't they see that it is all fake?
Nothing is real except the tears that fall from my eyes.
I believe my time to leave is coming soon.
So please do not stop me from departing your presence.
