I have respect for you, my friend
But you never seem to care
I would always wait for you, my friend
Though you are never there.

You have more than I, my friend
And yet, you never give
I would stand up for you, my friend
Though you laugh at the way I live

I always help you up, my friend
And you treat me like a slave
I'm not here just for you, my friend
Though, that's how you behave

I can't keep living my life for you
Though, on me, you depend
Sleepless nights, asking myself
Am I really your friend?

    I really like the "my friend" ending of every other line throughout the poem up until the last stanza, and then the fact that you end the last one with something similar. It all ties together extremely well. Great stuff.
