The End (God's Story)

by Ixora   Jul 23, 2006

It’s the first winter in hell
The snow fell down and fell back
More and more angels come
Wings disintegrating as white turned black

God stood astonished
As the devil smiled in glee
All of her children were dying
But she didn’t want to see

But her arms were nailed together
Her body broken in pieces
A crown of thorns upon her head
A gift from her baby Jesus

And the humans did this all
The ones that she gave life to
The ones made form her heart and soul
Now she knew that it was true

And as the anger grew
Hate darkened the rest of her heart
The world turned to darkness
All beauty was torn apart

The air turned to carbon
And the humans choked in pain
God felt it tenfold
But she just pushed it away, no longer sane

The volcano’s erupted
And the seas roared in retribution
The air was no longer transparent
But now thick with pollution

The screams filled the world
And God broke free
To the humans she said
“Never again will you betray me.”

The thorns from her head
Pierced each humans heart
The nails from her arms
Were hammered so far they tore souls apart

Now the devil stood speechless
As God’s light turned black
“Are you crazy? You’ll kill us all?” he said.
“It’s too late, I’m not going back.”

And as the blackness exploded
Into great lights of fire and ice
Everything was destroyed
All life would forever suffice

Darkness turned to nothing
Tales died with no one to tell
And in this emptiness floated one poem
“It was the first winter in hell…”
