Beginning Of The End

by Wings Of Flames   Jul 23, 2006

I cannot keep my head arise,
Upon the ocean wave,
Water seeping through my lungs,
A death I am to crave,

A darkness down beneath my feet,
As the hands claw me to sleep,
A brush of moral philosophy,
No blood for me to creep,

The craving of a newer self,
Into death's promised reality,
I have no self-control,
With all but of morality,

I cannot, will not, be around,
To suffer from your tongue,
It's a mistake I know these words,
But the poison's just begun,

I have no backbone,
I am aware of my tilted mind,
I am but useless flesh,
I'll leave you in this bind,

I've turned beneath the surface,
And left to slowly die,
I am of broken words,
In the sea, a dying lie.

You know what I've noticed with your poems, with the rhyming, it doesn't even feel like you trying to rhyme anything, it all just comes naturally, untill I look over it a 2nd time, and realise you were rhyming. You're a great writer, and I hope you know that. This was another great piece. Keep it up.

Great imagery. No real criticism for this one. I reall like the last line of the first stanza - it's nice and bold.
