I Am Your Friend

When you are weak and torn inside
I am there to stand by your side
I allow you to lean on me
In return I will support you
When you cry from a broken heart
I am there to stand by your side
I am there to wipe away your tears
Try to help get rid of your fears
Try to make you feel better inside
And give you a reason to stay alive
When you ask me why I did this for you
Just believe me when I say these words are true
From the start of this poem, and now to the end
I did this for you, because I am your friend.
