Waves

by Natasha Lau   Jul 24, 2006

A frothy mass of blue and white,
hurtling towards the shore.
Like disorderly sprinters,
they plunge forwards,
scrambling over, collapsing under, and toppling,
like dominos,
a reckless battle to sprawl across white hot sand.
Like a stampede of furious elephants, those in the way will be crushed
by the powerful loins of the ocean.
