Daddy

by marilyn marti   Mar 2, 2004

Sometimes I get angry because of things you do
But I always forgive because I love you.

When mommy left us,
hungry and alone
You had to show us
the way on your own.

When I walked into the room It'd break my heart to see you cry
Up to a point where I wanted to die.

Daddy I love you,
for all the love you give
For all the strength you have and everything you did.

All this confusion
made me so cold
The holes will diminish
as I grow old.

It's so hard to think
about the past
The tears, the games,
and all the laughs.

But knowing you are
here makes it all okay
Daddy, I will love you
till my dying day.

Dedicated to my father, my life.
