Overdose

Look at the body laying there
A boy, a teen, a son
It will come as a shock to all
The terror he has done

On the floor his body lies
Still and glowing pale
In his arm a small puncture
That's leaking a deadly trail

Next to his arm lies a needles
It's tip is darkened like mud
Yet it hold a fresh red tint
From when it contacted his blood

A victim of his own stupidity
The drugs he took have taken him
Weren't they supposed to make him happy?
And feel like reality had never been?

What lead him here in the first place
Was it that no one seemed to care?
Or was it a fear that at his funeral
No one would even be there?

Still it's too late for questions
His eyes are already black
Dead from the world, from drinking, from drugs
Dead, and never coming back.
