Dealing Out Death Comes Easy To Some

by xxkurtcobainxx   Jul 24, 2006

Slashes and circles all look the same
Life and death is now a game
Envious stares behind locked doors
Close the blinds, and fall through the floors

Friends till the end in every way
Did you ever think we gave a damn what you say?
Love and hate accidentally mix
We search for something to become our new fix

Bullets are fired with no regard
The leftovers of love are now burnt and charred
All the ink spills, black stains everywhere
Life has stopped with red eyes and singed hair

Smoke from our mouths continues to linger
Magical effects with the snap of a finger
Foil that's seemingly used to distort
Be careful of what you think you snort

I can't take back what I didn't do
Even though I'd rather have it been me then you
The color drains from a familiar face
It's a sheriff's department and we're a cold case

Kisses shower a secret, so secret
I gave you a gift and told you to keep it
Love is universal in this underground
Never a difference between the lost and the found

A gothic metropolis bending at the knees
All because you didn't say please
A flash of a face, you know who was here
The two blood sisters, no time for a tear

We deal out death, and don't ask why
We're good at what we do without having to try
The abstract words meant to inspire
The paper bag contents made to get higher

Side by side and hand in hand
Blood sinks into the yellow sand
Dashes of red across the white
Just go easy, you know we're right

The code of conduct written on a sign
The celebrations with lemon and wine
Another deed done, whether bad or good
A puddle marking the place where you once stood
