He Never Knew

She was the new girl in town
no one bothered to ask her name
she kept to herself...
day after day things stayed the same
one day though, everything changed
she met a guy... she thought he was real nice
1 look at him and she was enticed

he was your typical jock, shallow and arrogant
but to her, until recently, none of that was apparent
he noticed how alone she was and started to make fun
but what he didn't know was that she had access to a gun

one day with the insults, he went way too far
and as the tears fell down her face she ran out to her car
she drove home and pulled out a gun
then she got a piece of paper and the writing of her suicide note had begun
on the tear streaked paper she wrote:

i loved him so...
although he'll never know
i hope he knows how much i cried
and that all of his hateful words made me wanna die
all i wanted was his touch...
why wasn't i granted that much?
im so sorry for just being myself, alone and quiet
i really don't wanna die yet
but i just can't take his words anymore
it made me hurt all the way to my core...
im so sorry

and with a sudden movement, she grabbed that gun and put it to her head
and a moment later, she was dead
a couple of minutes later he burst through the door
he started to yell, " im so sorry and i won't hurt you anymore"
he then looked down at his feet and realized he was too late...
she was probably already standing in front of heaven's gates

he started crying and saw a piece of paper laying on table
and next to that note lay a pistol
he picked up the tear streaked note
and as a second thought, over her face he put a coat
as he read the note, tears flowed in streams from his eyes
and at that very moment, he started to plan his own demise
he picked up the gun
his heart felt as if it weighed a ton
He said to himself:

she loved me so
and i would have never known
i shouldn't have ever let her go
all this time, i never knew...
i never knew i cared for her too

and with those last few words,
his life he ended
to death, another person was handed
