Rain

Falling faster
it never seems to end
the water pours from the sky
sending me to the edge

the thunder bangs loudly
sending pulses thru my head
colors flash brightly
the whites of my eyes show by now

scared and crying i run
faster to my room
hiding under the covers
waiting for my unknown doom

i lock the covers under my legs
hoping the water wont come in
crying out for someone
maybe my bestfriend

the tears wont stop by now
theyre streaming down my face
reminding me with every drop
of my own selfish ways

how could i be afraid of rain?
ive lived with it since i dont know when
i think im only afraid of the rain
because it could be my end
