I believe love was invented for fools
A fool like me
Who opened my very being to you
Who became vulnerable with every thought, word and deed
Yes I am the fool, when after all this, you told me you were in love with another
I am a fool, the above suggests
Stupid even, to lay myself bare
To you, the person that I trusted my very life with
Only to find out that what we had was a lie
So how do I erase this feeling of utter stupidity?
Not fall in love again? That's a possibility
The walls are back up around my heart
Only this time, the walls are locked, and I've thrown away the key.
Never to be a fool again.
