Dear Nicole

by Jay Sei   Mar 2, 2004

Oh, how the clouds mob the city skies
when you're not here.
And the sunset; I can't look at anymore.

And sometimes I know you wonder why
the sky starts to cry
when tears drown your eyes.

Dear Nicole, what flows through your head when I'm away?
I'm sorry to say
the minor notes keep me from seeing the sunset.

Oh, a sudden breath from the wind
will come and blow all the pain away.
You will see why the sky looks up at you.

And sometimes I know you wonder why
I pretend to hide
from the starlit nights.

Dear Nicole, what flows through your head when I'm away?
I'm sorry to say
the minor notes keep me from seeing the sunset.

Oh, I will see you one last time,
and the depressed-colored sky
will watch itself poison away.
