Secluded

by Jennifer Dziak   Jul 25, 2006

She's pressured and persued for what they don't understand.
She's scolded and seduced time and time again.
She's belligerent and determined to fight the things inside.
But oh how she tries to hide.. how beautifully she hides.
Through scars and tears and sweat she covers it up. Through fear and lies and long sleeves no one will never know.. Fools, you know not what you do. She's trying to save you! You mustn't know the trust. You mustn't know the secrets. You are unforgiving. You are persistant.

You wouldn't even believe me if I told you..

I like how you write most of the poem in third person and make thw world see what they don't and then you hit them with the final realization that the girl is you
