Alone Like Rain

Walking in the rain, letting the wash away whats left of my happiness, hoping that some day, it shall return.

It's been raining for days, and all that time, I have been sad, maybe I'm connected, more than I think, and less than I want.

Rubbing my skin, hoping for warmth to lick away the cold, and douse me with a love and happiness, but only because of what you have done.

I look up to the sky, and wonder how many times, I must suffer, watching all the drops fall to the ground, alone, like me.

Walking slowly down this path of disdain, hoping for one day to regain all that I've lost, because at this point, there is no return, not unless you have a map.
