Broken forever

I woke up one morning
and all our visitors were leaving
you sat me down in the lounge
you held me close to you
these words you spoke to me
"baby, mummy and daddy have split up"
i pulled away from you screaming just one word- WHY!!
you held my hands and told me you were unfaithful to daddy
i ran to my room, and packed up my things
i screamed at you "take me too dad! i want to see him now!"
you drove me to him, i ran into his arms, crying more than ever
i said to him
"i dont want you to go"
the tears fell from his eyes like rain
he held me tight as he whispered through his tears
"baby please dont hate me"
i hugged him even more and said
"daddy i never would"
the crying made me sick
so daddy lain me down to sleep
in just one day, my family was taken away.
