Lost Love

by Rich   Jul 26, 2006

The struggles each day were easily passed
By a love I believed would always last
A hope so pure it would never end
And my heart told my mind to just pretend

A love so grand so innocent too
A love that only could include you

My mind finally won and I see the light
How I prefer the darkness to this ugly sight
The truth exposed a wicked game
That love can\'t be mine and I am to blame

A love so gentle yet full of life
I realized today you can\'t be my wife

What do I do when my hope is all gone
The words are hollow when I sing your song
I\'m a lost soul just wanting to go home
My heart is so tired and turning to stone
