Goodbye [ottava rhyme]

Do you remember out last day together?
Remember how it hurt to leave forever?
I miss you; I don't want to feel this again,
The tears will dry, Ill realize life's not over,
But how am I supposed to forget my friends?
I can do it, face the world in front of me,
I won't leave school, cause I have my memories,

Tonight I look back, through the yearbook pictures,
I see the faces of my once best friends,
Tears fall, I remember the way things were,
I dread to think of how it all had to end,
See this girl's picture? She doesn't know i miss her,
And if i had the chance, I'd do it again,
I've moved on and grown since those days long ago,
I love my friends, and I pray that they know,

Just 'cause we left, we shouldn't be torn apart,
I Promise to forget not a single one,
They'll always have a special place in my heart,
I wish success on the journey we've begun,
I know you'll all go far; you're all very smart,
Proud of what we've achieved, together, weve done
Good luck my friends, I will always love you,
Cause the old friends will always beat the new.

    A heartfelt dedication to your firends. Not the best written poem I've read in a while, but this poems seems to be more about the emotion. I did steal this from 'dwelt' but poets have to learn somehow. If you'd like to make this more effective, find other ways to express feeling without overusing 'I' and 'we'. However, if this was simply a poem for emotion, you did very well.

    Great emotion! I sometimes feel like this when I see some of my older friends with their new ones. But the old ones were much better. =) Keep up the writing! This was a great poem! 5/5 =) xoxo
