Lay My Pain Down

by Carol   Jul 26, 2006

Lay My Pain Down

Lay your head on my chest, listen to my aches
Brush your finger across my cheek feel my soul bleed
Place your body against mine, feel my pulse weaken
Place your feet in my shoes, my hurt you will understand
A shock you will feel as you grip my hand

Lay My Pain down

Look into my eyes
Through the darkness you will see
The child who once was is still very much in me
Alone she sits, alone she waits
Emotions resting upon her face
Yet she still carries a certain grace

Lay My Pain Down

Walk beside me
Let my past trails and tribulations be your guide
Hands held my pain you'll feel inside
Follow the beat of my pulse a familiar feeling overcomes you (fear)

Through your ears you will hear the words spoken that broke me
The bitterness that still chokes me
The demonic thoughts that still provoke me
See all this pain ain't no joke

Lay My Pain Down

So we're walking this path hand and hand
The concrete turns to sand (quick)
You notice that you can't move any further
Because you can't be the one that knocks down the walls that burden her
For this is my journey and this is my path
It's been laid out for me to walk and trust ill approach it with a laugh

Lay My Pain Down
Eyes wide open
With more faith then hope
Because i know the Lord will carry me home
So that i may once and for all

Lay My Pain Down!!!
