LABELED(stand up and shout it)

by FASHIONISTA   Jul 27, 2006

Punk, geek, loser, freak
sl.ut, goth, cool, ho.e
Everyone has there own label
Everyone already knows

We're not soup cans
What's the point of being labeled
We're all abused in ways
We're not a channel on the cable

Football player, Cheerleader
Fat loser, Computer freak
What's up with these names?
Do they make us unique?

No, They make us hurt inside
We hide our pain and play along
But this isn't a game...
It's our life, so prove them wrong

Cool jocks, Plastic chicks
Wannabe athletes, Ugly girls
Why all these labels?
We're all boys and girls

Everything we say and do,
Gives us a name
Where's the freedom?
All Labels are lame

Call him a punk
Call her a ho.e
We're still all people
Don't you know?

Ugly To pretty, Fat to thin
What's your label, Are you in?
I've heard them all, No doubt bout it
Are you being bullied?
Stand up and shout it.

I thougth the idea behind this poem was really great and that you did say it in a strong manner. My suggestion is to not use those same labels a lot, like punk, freak, etc...and to work on the structure so that it's easy to follow the whole way through, but it's a good poem, it just needs a little work is all! Thanks for ur nice comment about my poem/song...I love to sing em!
