Soldier Ends

by Tasha   Jul 27, 2006

Don't look in my eyes, you will only see tears.
Please don't smile at me, you might give me hope.
And don't say that you love me, it will only bring me pain.
Yet through every warning you still carry on.
Please don't hold me, you might feel my coldness.
But still you insist on reaching for my hand.
Don't touch my lips, for you will feel them tremble.
So I hope you aren't waiting for a fairy tale kiss.
And don't talk to me in that voice, I wish to keep silent.
Now lay me down where I must rest.
Yet your still here marching endlessly on.
You refuse to give up when its at end.
And you carry on as if you are a soldier.
You protect my dreams, so in a way, you are. -
