God made kittens

God gave us kittens to watch them play,
To lay around with and sleep all day.

God gave us kittens to make us laugh,
Like when they play or take a bath.

God gave us kittens to keep us company,
For the long roads ahead no matter how bumpy.

God gave us kittens for the funny things they do,
Like running into mirrors when they think that there is two.

God gave us kittens to listen to us,
Whether it's telling them secrets or listening to us fuss.

God gave us kittens to love us no matter what,
Whether the whole world is against us or if we just are in a rut.

God gave us kittens to just have around,
To keep us happy and going and safe and sound.

God gave us kittens because he loves to see us smile,
Because kittens can make anybody's day worth the while.
