To Rhyme My Regret

I regretted when I called her chimp
And when I called him a pimp
I regretted when I lied
And when I said I hated that guy
I regretted that the guy loved me
And that I couldn't just see
I regretted when I became so greedy
And when I became so needy
I regretted that I didn't help
And that I didn't say what I felt
I regretted that the light still shines
And that I turn away because the light blinds
I regretted that this is so true
And that no one has a clue
I regretted who I have been
And that the world has seen
I regretted that I lived with sadness
And even madness
I regretted that I didn't defend
And how this poem has to end.
