Its hard to trust the ones around you
sometimes its hard to just let go
friend is a hard word to define
but in my world I found mine
& its you
I ask myself how is it that they are able to be so happy?
then I realize its just a fairy tale
it's something I will never feel because its not true
but now I've realized that was just a lie
because I was able to find you
now even on my darkest days
when I just want to fall apart & cry
the thought of you calms my soul
& without an ounce of energy I begin to smile
that moment is so precious to me
even though it only lasts for a short while
its more than worth it to me
just knowing that your here
I am able to see
the good in you & in me
you make me feel alive
there's a feeling of happiness
I seem to only find when your around
there's something about you that stays with me
something I can only wish I could be
& no matter what happens
there's a sound that makes everything ok
the sound of your voice & our laughter
it erases the feeling of sadness that day
with you I am able to see past the flaws I see in myself
I am able to see the good
