Better Make it Our World

by sam munachim   Jul 28, 2006

Better make it our world
Where no one lords the other
We parley and combine brawn
You refuse to outwit me

You cannot judge my future
You donot decry me past
You let me swim undisturbed
In the river of my soul

When I shake off the harness
And reach for the golden gates
When I breathe the drought of air
That sifts in through the window

When I take your hand in mine
As we skirt the brambled bush
When we loll in the evening
We become more truly one.
