Killing Loneliness

by Lance Hardy   Jul 28, 2006

How do you kill such a thing
That exists within your mind
Though it feels so real
It is something you can't find

Loneliness is always here
Feels like everything I've ever known
Sometimes, I just want to stop and cry
It's always me, just all alone

I've been told to go outside and play
Play with those who hurt me deep?
Friends are hard to come by now
Unless I make them in my sleep

Tell me now what can I do
To stop these feelings all too true
Should I use a dagger and twist?
Or stay around and just...exist

Interesting change in rhyme scheme by the end. I'd hang out with you dude... but I'm in Italy. When are you going back to school?
