The clock is lying

by Shelby Smith   Jul 28, 2006

I sit and I stare
As the clock on the wall keeps turning
Wishing it could turn back time
Because the heart in my chest is still burning
If only i could go back to that moment
When the world seemed so right
Back to the days before i could see
That life isn't just black and white

Before I knew the world outside the protection of your arms
Now alone without your voice to guide me through this life

I sit and I stare
As the clock on the wall keeps turning
But baby the clock is lying
There is still time
For a you and a me
A boy and a girl
Trying to make it through this world.
