Growing up

by Socks   Jul 29, 2006

When i was little,
i was so carefree,
so young and innocent,
an angel, me.

Now that i get older,
i start to understand,
the values of life,
how they're not so grand.

People change,
nothing seems the same,
everything fun before,
seems so lame,

The days go by,
way to fast,
i wish they would slow down,
so i can make them last.

You have to make choices,
good and bad,
some will leave you fustrated and angry,
other happy and glad.
Just remember to never forget,
all the greeat memories you've had.

Guess you said it all really. Wise words from one so young. Nice flow and rhyme.

This is quite the intense emotional poem m'dear. It flowed rather well! The rhyme scheme seemed a little forced, but it was still great! 5/5 from me!
