Why is it when I need him
He is never really there
He claims he loves me
He swears it's true
But I can't remember the last time

I see him in town
Driving past my house everyday
Not even sticking a hand out the window

When will my daddy see
That I need him in my life
And quit with all the excuses
That keep causing me such strife
He's supposed to love his daughter

I think someone should tell him this
