It Can Tell

by Sarah Ann   Jul 30, 2006

Under great darkness my heart grieves
Into the burning lights of hell
I see differently, yet my soul perceives
I have a place there...It can tell

As each life has a path to take
Demons feed upon their goals
But my road is steady, fixed at stake
And my lies had paid the toll

Where I was going led downhill
Now, the vision blurred. Nothing I see
They took from me a part to kill
What once meant everything to me

Among layers of cries and guilt
I am lost in walls of stone
Sturdy and slowly they were built
To keep me dying here alone

Under this darkness my heart grieves
Deep...into the burning lights of hell
I still refuse to see, yet my soul perceives
I have a place there...It can tell

Wow, such a dark/sad poem. Your flow was good, and the rhyming didn't seem forced at all. A very good write, hun. I really liked the middle stanza, It stood out alot to me. Well done. Keep it up and take care. 5/5
